Sport Clubs

With 23 teams, 950+ student-athletes, and 70 National Championships, the UCSB Sport Club Program has proven itself to be one of the most successful programs in the nation. Our teams compete each year against many of the nation’s other top universities. Because there are no scholarships awarded for team participation, these athletes sweat it out for the love of the game and the competitive achievement that inevitably comes with the commitment.

UCSB Sport Clubs strike the balance between fun and competition while consistently ranking among the premier collegiate club teams in the nation. Sport Clubs are designed for students who want to perform on a highly competitive level.

The Sports Clubs are attended to by the Recreational Sports Athletic Training Program. A certified athletic trainer and a staff of student interns offer quality healthcare services including first aid, rehabilitation services, injury prevention, and health education for athletes.

Rec Sports also offers strength and condition services at the Athletic Performance Center (APC) Located in Robertson Gymnasium, the APC aims to provide strength and conditioning services designed to enhance athletic performance and decrease probability of injury for all UCSB Club Sport athletes. APC staff and student interns make it a goal to provide the means for student athletes to train consistently, sensibly, and systematically in a safe, clean, and professional environment.
