Group Fitness Class Descriptions

Athletic Skills  Kristin  This class will focus on building and maintaining athletic abilities. Through a combination of a variety of training such as strength, endurance, flexibility as well as others to aid participants become well rounded in all physical activities.
Boot Camp 
Class proceeds to target every area with a full body workout engaging entire abdominal core, legs (inner, outer thigh), arms (triceps, rotator cuff, trapezius) including building strength through lower lumber. Exercises also include various uses of apparatus varying from 'magic circle', 'weights', 'stretch bands' and of course our own body...there are always many options to teach effective classes.
Cardio Blast Jo

This class encompasses weighted and body weight exercises to gain muscle mass, while achieving cardiovascular endurance. This class targets all muscle groups by engaging in dynamic and isometric movements. The workouts will be done with high intensity and high energy. It is designed to promote strength, cardiovascular endurance, lean muscle growth, and excess fat loss.

Cardio Kickboxing
Ryan

A martial arts style cardio workout that will help you improve endurance and coordination. Learn proper techniques for punches and kicks in this non- contact class. This workout will challenge your stamina and coordination-- and get your heart racing-- as we layer moves together into kickboxing combos. All levels welcome, no gloves needed.

Chisel and Sculpt Jo

This routine pairs heavy weights with low reps, the perfect power couple for building more metabolically active lean muscle mass to torch body fat and sculpt your bod. Suited for all levels and will get you to reach your fitness goals!

Circuit Ryan Circuit training is a fast-paced class in which you do one exercise for 30 seconds to 5 minutes and then move on to another exercise. This will give attention to all major postural muscles and trigger a tabata like effect activating both fast and slow twitch muscle fibers. You will be sure to sweat!
 Foam & Flex   Ryan Ideal for anyone looking to improve their posture, help their body recover from other workouts, and anyone who just wants to increase their flexibility. The “foam” in the class title stands for foam rolling, a type of self-myofascial release, and a fitness technique with many benefits. Foam rolling can increase blood flow, improve flexibility, reduce muscle soreness, and decrease injury risks associated with other types of exercise. This class will also utilize static stretching for a workout that will leave you feeling lengthened, relaxed, and ready for your next fitness challenge.
 HIIT Alex   HIIT is a full-body workout. The class is a rigorous interval training sequence with high-intensity exercises. It builds cardiovascular fitness while improving muscular strength and endurance. People are challenged to push to their limits and walk out feeling strong. 
 Hip Hop Barre  Alex  What do you get when you add in hip hop music with a handrail? Barre fitness is a hybrid workout class - combining ballet-inspired moves with elements of strength training. This class focuses on high reps of small range movements to trigger deep into the core and posterior extremities 
 Morning Boost Kelly  This class is a variety of total body conditioning that involves both strength and cardio exercise. Designed to change each week to target all major muscles groups in a variety of ways. We utilize a mix of free weights, resistance bands, med balls, weighted bars, steps and BOSU balls. It is suited for a beginner to a fitness fanatic- as you set your own bar for how hard you want to push! Get your day started right!
 Pump n Plyos  Ryan This class combines resistance training with plyometric moves to improve your strength and power. Plyometric, or “jump training,” can help improve athletic performance, endurance, and will definitely make you sweat. While this class does utilize a lot of jumping exercises, your instructor will offer low-impact modifications for students to use as needed. By combining strength and power training moves, this workout will help you burn fat, build strength, and leave you feeling awesome.
 Pump + Abs Ryan  This class is focused on helping you get and stay strong! We will utilize free weights, your body weight, stability balls, and more to challenge all of your muscles--especially your core. Resistance training does more than just make your muscles stronger though-- it can also boost your metabolism, improve your posture and mood, and much more.

Functional Training 101 

Tuesday & Thursday 6-7pm
Led by Coach Hansten

This course is designed to help you learn new and classic exercise techniques, movement patterns, from simple bodyweight movements to windmills and Turkish get-ups, pushing you to your limits and help to develop a stronger and faster YOU! Functional training will teach you everything you need to fully incorporate the Queenax, kettlebells, and circuit training into your training regiments and to prepare you for any OBSTACLE! Join us outdoors on the NEW Pavilion Turf and indoors at the NEW Queenax.
