Sierra Backpacking

Spend 4 days on the spectacular eastern side of the Sierras! If you have never had the opportunity to drive up the 395 and into the back bone of the Sierra Mountains, this is your chance! We will spend our days nestled below the Sierra Crest. Late summer is the perfect time of year to enjoy the many sparkling lakes, moderate temperatures, and alpine wildflowers.

We will hike into the mountains above Bishop, a place treasured for its emerald colored lakes. Our pace will be casual with at least one layover day to allow for exploration higher into the alpine, fishing, or swimming in one of the lakes.

Since this is a multi-day backpacking adventure, we advise previous experience and/or good physical condition and stamina. Generally, we will be hiking between 5-10 miles per day and we may camp close to 10,000 feet at times.

The fee includes round-trip transportation, breakfasts and dinners while camping, camping fees, permit fees, and group equipment. You musy supply your own lunches and personal equipment.
