Welcome to the UCSB Women’s Club Soccer page, a tradition of excellence. The women’s club soccer team is comprised of competitive student-athletes who represent UCSB at the national collegiate club level. Our main season is during Fall Quarter and we begin as soon as the quarter begins.

Join the Team

Tryouts are Tuesday-Friday during move-in week(September 20-23) from 4-6 on the Rec Cen Fields.  New/Incoming players will tryout on Tuesday, Sept 20th and Wednesday, Sept 21st.  Those new/incoming players that make the 1st cuts will continue on to tryout on Thurs, Sept 22nd and Fri, Sept 23rd. Those players who make the team will have a mandatory team meeting on Saturday morning Sept 24th. We will have a booth at the Fun and Fitness Festival at the Rec Cen, but it’s usually on the second day of tryouts.  For this reason, it’s very important to contact our coach, Todd Heil, before school starts.

Our season begins the first weekend of fall quarter, so we select new players right away. Fall 2016 practices take place Mon/Wed/Fri from 4-6 beginning Monday, Sept 26th. If you are unable to make the tryouts in fall, we have open practices during spring quarter.

Dues ~ since we are a club sport we do have player dues.  Dues for the fall quarter usually average about $675.  This fee covers such items as: WCSA league dues, transportation to league games, UCSB sport club dues, referees, player sweats, practice gear, coaches, Regionals and Nationals entry fees, to name just a few items.  Nationals travel expenses are not included in dues.  This is where our fundraising efforts come in to play.  Dues for Winter and Spring Quarter average about $400 a quarter to cover travel to tournaments and league play.
