This two-day course is designed to help participants gain the technical skills to construct and climb on solid top rope anchors in an array of environments. The class includes a brief review of the fundamentals of top rope anchors and belay systems, comprehensive instruction on the use of natural and artificial protection and an introduction to traditional climbing.

The fee includes instruction, climbing equipment, and climbing shoes. Transportation is not provided; therefore, all transportation is by carpool. This class has a maximum enrollment of six, so sign up fast!

The prerequisite for this class is Rock II or an equivalent. Must pass climbing center belay test sometime before class.
