This three-day intensive class gives participants the opportunity to practice the basic foundations of anchor building for rock climbing while expanding their knowledge of climbing. This class focuses on understanding top rope systems, belay systems, anchor construction, and climbing techniques.

The class will meet in the indoor Adventure Climbing Center for an evening session. This session will be followed by two full day courses held on the rocks in the Santa Barbara area.

Please wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes to both the indoor class and the lab; participants will be practicing movement techniques on the wall and rock.

The fee includes instruction, climbing equipment, and climbing shoes. Transportation is not provided; therefore, all transportation is by carpool. This class has a maximum enrollment of six, so sign up fast!

The prerequisite for this class is Rock I or an equivalent. Must pass a Climbing Center belay test before first day of class.
