If you haven’t seen the UCSB indoor climbing center, then you are missing out. Not only is it a beautiful work of art, but it is also a very challenging training facility. It offers a dedicated bouldering section, a 30 foot main wall, top rope climbing, lead bolts, belay ledge and three crack features. The club atmosphere allows climbers to train, share techniques, exercise, meet new friends, and plan weekend outings to the rocks. The facility is open daily which allows for training after you get off work or out of class. Harnesses or climbing shoes are available to rent, but using the facility is free for students and gym members!

If you are under the age of 18, you will need a parent to sign our waiver. You can download our waiver here!

Employment: Want to Work with us?

The Desk staff at the center assume the role of a “vertical lifeguard,” meaning they are responsible for supervising climbers for safety, checking in climbers, managing paperwork, and tending to the general upkeep of the wall. Essentially, wall staff perform similar duties a lifeguard would at the pool, except they work at a climbing wall. We also employ an number of indoor climbing instructors and route setters.
